“The last movie in a loose series of wrestlers vs. mummies flicks that began with Las Momias de Guanajuato, starring Blue Demon and Superzán in a story that includes cursed gold, mummies (naturally) and even Satan himself.

Synopsis: After the death of her father, the beautiful Sofía inherits his wealth. However a curse was cast on her father’s fortune and if she takes it must sell her soul to the devil. Blue Demon and Superzán help protect Sofía against the evil Isabel and her army of mummies, who plan to destroy her and take the fortune.

Producer Rogelio Agrasánchez had a huge success with his production of Las Momias de Guanajuato and followed it up with 4 similar films, El Robo de las Momias de Guanajuato, El Castillo de las Momias de Guanajuato, Las Momias de San Ángel and La Mansion de las 7 Momias. Although the last of its line, this movie is fairly atmospheric and contains some good scare sequences, especially a scene where a horde of mummies rises up out of a swamp. This was the last film appearance of the absurdly costumed Superzán, a hero invented by producer Agrasánchez, who gave him the leading role in two earlier movies before teaming him up with other wrestlers. This was also the final role of comedian Manuel Palacios “Manolin”, once part of the comedy team of Manolin & Schilinsky, who had some success in films of the 1940’s and ‘50’s.” ~Antonio
