“Santo movie #43 concerns a mad doctor who ruins famous paintings in order to restore them. He makes duplicate paintings with his hydraulic fibroid tumor ink printing press and then gives the duplicate back to the museum while keeping the restored original for himself (huh?). See, the doc has a grotto filled with women that he gives estrogen injections to. These injections promote the growth of fibroid tumors. Once the tumors are cut out, it’s off to the printing press with the tumors and off to the acid bath with the women. Santo is called in to investigate and teamed with Interpol agent Paul. Wrestling matches, bathroom brawls, foreign objects, speedboat chases, goofus dubbing and sudden death ensue. Cool James Bond/spy soundtrack too (but someone overdosed on the marimba glissando/zing effect, which I guess could be used as a drinking to blackout game).

A (mostly) Spanish production, the only cast from Mexico are Santo and his real-life manager Carlos Suárez. The rest of the cast is made up of Euro-trash stalwarts like Helga Liné, Mirta Miller, Maribel Hidalgo, Jorge Rigaud and Frank Bran. It’s rumored that the English dub was done in Canada as the dubbed version only seems to have been shown on Canadian TV, but whoever was the English voice of Helga Liné in this was also on the English dub of The Fear Chamber, so I’m assuming this was not dubbed in Canada. Anyone have info on where The Fear Chamber was dubbed?

This is a dual audio fandub with 2 subtitle streams. The Spanish language print was longer, so there are a couple of instances of Spanish dialog on the English language track. I made an extra subtitle track for the few lines of Spanish dialog. The default is English audio with the aforementioned subtitle stream. Use your remote to select the Spanish audio track and the full English subtitle stream or to turn the subtitles off. Many thanks to LuigiBastardo for the English audio and to Turdis for the English subtitles.

Extras consist of a preview clip for each of the following movies: Entre pobretones y ricachones, Las tres perfectas casadas, El aviso inoportuno, Dormitorio para señoritas (with Lorena Velázquez), ¡Ay, Jalisco no te rajes!, ¡Ahí madre!, Todos los pecados del mundo, Santo contra los secuestradores, El coyote (with Abel Salazar), Al ponerse el sol, La perra, Nosotros los rateros, Mi noche de bodas, Carrera contra la muerte, cenicienta del barrio, Vivillo desde chiquillo, Échenme al gato, La loca de la casa, and Hijazo de mi vidaza.” ~nickthecreep
