A neverever project with custom English subs.

“Loosely based on the ancient story of Phaedra and Ippolytos, this peculiar combination of the same baby-faced actor from “Love on a horse” with a Norwegian actress twice his age revives the myth of the doomed love affair between a young man and his stepmother. The “resolution” of the tragedy comes out different here as the young man does not die but teams up with his father so as to finally grow up and take his life in his own hands (and become a “dirty businessman” himself). The best thing about this film besides the love scenes (typical main dish of the 70’s- but with a psychoanalytical twist) are the fantastic seascape shots that make you feel like taking a dive. Also, there’s a pseudo-paganistic background of island natives doing fire dances and sacrificing animals (there’s a sheep slaughter scene in your face, be warned about this, also a couple of chicken killed on camera)” ~neverever
